55 of #100daychallenge: space

Today, I wrote in my notebook:

“I am a poor substitute for the person I imagine myself to be.”

“Narrow the distance between imagination and reality.”

“When I am the reflection of my imagination.”

“Be honest about your dream.”

These are important thoughts to notice. I think that my life is about narrowing the distance or creating a bridge or being the reflection between imagination and reality. This feels like a large part of what I imagine my work to be.

In order to change the fact that I am a poor substitute for who I am in my imagination, I think I need to be more honest about my dreams. It’s common to downplay, minimize or hide our dreams because we are afraid to fail and even more afraid to fail in front of others.

If I’m honest about my dreams, then I also must be honest about what I must do and not do to eliminate the gap between my dreams and me. There are doubts and don’ts between us. This time of year always reminds me of what I’m doing and not doing — how I’m falling behind. The physical world is slowing down, while it feels like time is speeding up. Frenetic tension everywhere, within and around. I’m aware of what I want and what I really want, and what I don’t want and really don’t want. It feels like everything is illuminated by a sense of heaviness and darkness.

Fill in the blank with your thought about the word: Fall

My thought is: FALL INTO A NEW ROUTINE

Fill in the blank with your thought about the word: Leave

My thought is: LEAVE YOUR CURRENT STATE

Blank spaces are so great. They’re not always meant to be filled. Sometimes they are meant to exist just for playing around and visiting.
