100 of #100daychallenge: the beginning

Immediately after this post is when the real challenge begins…

I listened to this song today.

I heard it in a very different way.

It was resonating with the loving and non-loving, flowing non-flowing, parts of me.

Like a sad love letter attempting to be respectful of the other, while honoring their own expression...

Turn down the lights

Turn down the bed

Turn down these voices

Inside my head

Lay down with me

And tell me no lies

Just hold me close

Don’t patronize

Don’t patronize me

I can’t make you love me

If you don’t

You can’t make your heart feel

Something it won’t

Here in the dark

In these final hours

I will lay down my heart

I feel the power

But you won’t

No you won’t

I can’t make you love me

If you don’t

I close my eyes

And then i won’t see

The love you don’t feel

When you’re holding me

Morning will come

And I’ll do what’s right

Give me til then

To give up this fight

And I will give

Up this fight

I can’t make you love me

If you don’t

You can’t make your heart feel

Something it won’t

Here in the dark

In these final hours

I will lay down my heart

And i’ll feel the power

But you won’t

No

You won’t

I can’t make you love me

I can’t make you love me darlin’

Upon hearing this song in such a different way, my feelings about doing a challenge like this have expanded. This challenge has helped me achieve my goals to develop a little grit, a daily writing practice and creative space to express myself and share with others. It has been difficult and exposed me to my weaknesses and boundaries. In other words, I’m getting stronger and more aware of the limiting boundaries I’ve chosen for myself, as well as how I may choose to diminish and dissolve them. There have been sacrifices; however, a worthy commitment neutralizes the feeling of sacrifice.

My choice to follow through on the challenge each day was a given, clear and unwavering. No excuses, no obstacle could be great enough to sway me out of alignment. The feeling of every part of myself important, worthy and capable of achieving harmony separate and together. I need every part. Together in harmony.

The only challenges in life are the ones I make up or choose to take on as challenges. Similarly, points of ease in life are the ones I make up or choose to take on as easy. Ease and challenge appear inseparable or as if each lives within the other. Similar to my parts of me. Similar to me and you.

That’s actually quite beautiful. State of awareness.

Feeling lighter, getting brighter.

I feel gratitude for myself and my devotion. I feel gratitude for everyone who joined me and supported me, and taking the time to consider their own experience. Means so much.

Thank you for following @blueprintwellness.life to see my #writing #alltheloveandnoexcuses #100daychallenge unfold.

It’s the end of the challenge and the beginning of life!

Brightly,

Laura
