79 of #100daychallenge: better
Meditation makes life better for me. Messing up makes life better for me. The desire for better makes me better and keeps me from knowing myself better. I’ve been noticing this phenomenon lately. I guess it’s more of an irony than a phenomenon, but it’s one of those ridiculous realizations that is so absurd and makes me laugh.
Who do I think I am? It matters so little, really. Who I am is what matters, but I’m admittedly often more concerned with who I think I might be or should be and who others think I might be or should be. Think about how much more I could be and get done in life without this kind of preoccupation with myself. Nonetheless, it is indeed very important to think about myself, in the end, what else do I really have?
Life is good. It just is. It’s a little bit of everything. Sometimes it’s a lot, but there’s a lot of choice. It’s what we’ve always wanted and more! And, this realization will help lead us into a time of less excess and more specificity.
